Brainy Arcade ("we," "us," or "our") is an educational math game app designed for K-5 students. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our app.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from users.
Specifically, Brainy Arcade does not collect:
Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
Location data
Photos, camera, or microphone access
Device identifiers used for advertising
Social media information
What we do store locally on your device:
Player nicknames and emoji avatars (stored only on your device, never sent to our servers)
Game session data for trophy/milestone tracking (stored only on your device)
What we store on our servers:
Game scores submitted to our leaderboard (nickname, emoji avatar, and score only — no personally identifiable information)
Children's Privacy
Brainy Arcade is designed for children under 13. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only data stored on our servers are anonymous game scores consisting of a chosen nickname and emoji avatar.
Third-Party Services
Brainy Arcade uses the following third-party services:
Firebase (Google) — used to store anonymous leaderboard scores. No personally identifiable information is transmitted. Firebase's privacy policy is available at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
RevenueCat — used to process subscription payments. RevenueCat handles payment processing securely and does not share payment information with us. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Subscriptions
Brainy Arcade offers an optional monthly subscription ($4.95/month) for all-day access. Subscription payments are processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store any payment or billing information.
Time-Based Access
The app is free to use between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. To verify the current time and prevent circumvention, the app contacts WorldTimeAPI (worldtimeapi.org) — a public time service. No user data is transmitted in this request.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we store. Leaderboard scores are stored in Firebase Firestore with security rules that prevent unauthorized access.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
